Terms of use

These terms cover the Shammas Bureau Tax client portal. Our tax services themselves are governed by the engagement letter you sign with us; the portal is how we exchange documents, messages, signatures and invoices with you.

Your account

• Accounts are created by our office for our clients. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
• Give us accurate information. Your return depends on what you upload and tell us.
• We may suspend an account that is misused or that puts other clients’ information at risk.

Text messages

Shammas Bureau Tax client notices. When you turn on texts in Settings → Notifications, you agree to receive text messages from Shammas Bureau Tax about your account: new messages and requests from your preparer, appointment reminders, filing updates and signing codes. We do not send marketing texts.

• Message frequency varies with your account activity.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to opt out at any time; you will get one confirmation and no further texts. Reply START to opt back in.
• Reply HELP for help, or call (619) 579-7689 or email hello@shammasbureau.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Texts are optional. You can use the portal and get every notice by email without them.

Availability

We work to keep the portal available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted. If it is down, call or email our office.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell you in your portal about significant changes.
